Modeling Diversity

Whether your interests lie in giant scale, precision scale, jets, sport aerobatics, glow power, electric power, helicopters, quadcopters, gliders, scratch building, ready to fly, control line etcetera, you will find someone in the club who shares your interests. Because of restrictions based on the prison we do not allow rocketry or free flight.

Visting Public Welcome

Who may fly at our field

Members and their guests may fly at our field, however, all flying guests MUST be a member in good standing with the AMA. Guest flying is limited to five (5) flying visits in a calendar year accompanied by a club member.

Community Support

The club has a long and generous history within the community and especially with the Indiana Department of Corrections facilities (adjacent to our field).  For over thirty years, the club has provided material and financial assistance for local programs and educational opportunities.

Screaming Eagles R/C Club

Screaming Eagles Radio Control Club, Inc. was established in 1969 by our founder, Tom Horrigan. We became an AMA charter club in early 1970 with a total of eight charter members. Since day one we have prided ourselves on being a club of inclusion; welcoming all who share our interest and love for model aviation.  Like any good club we strive to provide a first class facility, training, modeling diversity, community support, fellowship, and more.

We enjoy rc flight in Plainfield.  Our Club is known as the Screaming Eagles Remote Control Flying Club .  For short we are call Screaming Eagles R/C Club.
