Club History

The Screaming Eagles RC Club was founded in 1969 when a group of friends started flying together. In 1970 they applied for a AMA charter, AMA #298. We had a succession of 4 small airfields in the Plainfield area up until 1983. In '83 we started flying at our current location (43 years ago). At that time it was the Indiana Boys School. In 2006 the Indiana Boys School became the Short Term Offenders Program (STOP) Facility.  It's over time that we added all of the amenities you see today.
